Surprisingly large turnout of 13,972 saw Harvard choke the chicken against Columbia. The Crimson didn’t even draw 11K against Princeton two weeks ago.

The boxscore for the McNeese/EIU game reports the attendance as 0 (zero), but I think there were a few fans who did not abscond in order to watch LSU/Alabama.

11,171 at Fitton for HC v. Lehigh.

That’s about 3,000 more than I would have guessed.

Worcester locals seem to be taking notice.

A surprisingly small crowd of 7,152 showed up to watch a top 5 battle in Ogden. Sure, it wasn't great weather, but c'mon! Gotta support your team!

Considering the very rainy weather, believe that’s a pretty good crowd by Samford standards.

Here’s a question….

If Mercer beats Furman & Samford beats Chattanooga this week, the game between Mercer and Samford the following week will be for the SoCon’s Playoff AQ, possibly (should be!) a Top 8 seed in the Playoffs, and, at least, (true) SoCon Championship bragging rights (Samford would clinch a share of the SoCon Championship with a win @ Chatt). That’s a lot on the line!

Can Samford Athletics and Seibert Stadium handle the crowd that might bring? Capacity is 6,700. Mercer might bring that many themselves.

I agree. It was awesome football weather. Surprised at least 10k didn’t show up at least. I could hear the Sac State fans cheering on TV/feed.

11,811 for the Eastern Washington game in the Kibbie Dome. Weather can’t be used as an excuse.

That’s excellent to hear, hopefully the interest in the program keeps going up! Having a few years of running with 63 scholarships will help as well.

Rain was predicted, but never came (there was a ton of wind) resulting in 9,164, by far the smallest crowd of the year, in Richmond to watch the Colonels wreck Central Arkansas 42-14.

I was in the upper level of Roy Kidd Stadium, and that wind was powerful.
