Crazy that URI has only beaten Maine once in 20 years...and I assume they've played every year minus maybe the COVID season. I know URI has been a doormat and Maine has been pretty solid for the last 10-12 years but they've had some pretty pedestrian teams too.

Rhody just missed winning their first ever game in Williamsburg (4-15 all time against Tribe I believe, with all 4 wins taking place in Kingston).

Lost 3-0 in a monsoon at Rhody in 2006, last lost previous was 1999. Maine had some real nailbiters in 2018 and 2019 but managed W's. This game will definitely challenge the streak but if we limit turnovers and don't come out flat I like our chances.

I'll be there, my third trip to see UNH play the Spida's. The previous two were close games. At old City Stadium in 2007 with Coach Santos at QB for the Wildcats we lost to Richmond 45-38. Richmond featured RB Tim Hightower on that 2007 team. In 2014 we started our 8-0 conference record with a win a Robbins stadium. Back-up QB Andy Valias Engineered a 75 yard scoring drive that left only a few seconds on the clock making the score 29-26. Who knows what the 2022 match-up will bring - more of the same I hope.

Hilarious though, we are playing a true freshman QB with somewhat limited playbook and I won't mention the other injuries b/c everyone has them this time of year, but we let up monster amounts of points dude. All I heard was how legit UD was. I understand how it may feel for you in terms of being nervous to lose to a lesser team, but this is a Monmouth team that has shown exactly zero ability to play special teams or defense. 1-2 turnovers and this could get ugly. ow if they come to play and for some reason put it all together today it def could be a great game but last week was the first "meaningless" game we have played in over 5 seasons (playing a game with playoffs not on line) and the result was not pretty. I cant imagine the 2nd meaningless game in 6 seasons against a team playing for playoff lives with tons of talent will get better.

UNH has the top run D in the league. Key to this game is to force UR to throw, minimize damage there, and end up + in turnovers. This is going to be an exciting game. UR can only afford to lose one more game without putting their playoff hopes in jeopardy. Big game

I’m at the Villanova/Towson game, and after the first half of the 1st quarter, it has been all Towson. The Tigers lead VU 27-3 with just over 6 minutes left in the 4th quarter. Towson has scored 27 unanswered points, the last touchdown on a punt return, and rushed for well over 200 yards. Meanwhile, the Wildcats have 140 yards of total offense for the game, with nearly half of them coming on their first drive.

So I know this is a totally unfair comparison b/c of the teams we have played but Delaware is by far and away on a higher level. More size, speed, talent and better coaching. This is not a jab at any other team and to be fair, UNH and URI are the only better teams we have played now that we cannot count Nova, but I am shocked Delaware got smoked by Elon, guess just bad day at office. While it is true that we are not very good and have an awful defense and packed it in for the year sometime in The Towson game and are without our starting QB, Delaware was the most physical and athletic team we have played. And before people get mad and just say that Monmouth sucks, which we are basically gonna end up sucking, we still hung with URI ad UNH til the very end - All I am saying is today was not JUST us not being a good football team. I think Delaware is legit. And before people dismiss Nova (yes they are down ad were way over rated) Towson is NOT a terrible team. I call it as a I see it and they are good upfront, have dynamic specials and a very good RB and dual threat QB. Their 4 CAA losses came to the top 4 teams and they were competitive in 2.5 of them. They are capable.

Nova has mailed it in although they have for the past 15 seasons or so found the right stuff the last weekend of the season. We’ll see if Nova shows some pride the next 2 weeks at W&M and home vs. The Dirty Filthy Birds.
