After the results from last week, there are some interesting games on tap for this weekend. Everybody plays in the conference and some intriguing matchups in the conference. So far for the year, I am at 47-9, and have only missed one game in the last three weeks. But the picks get tougher this weekend and will only get more tough as the season goes. Here are my predictions for this week's games in the Big Sky.

PSU at UI---The Vikings suffered a big home defeat last week and now face the high-flying Vandals who are coming off a big road win. It does seem like the only thing that can slow the Vandals now is themselves, so they better not look past this...UI 38, PSU 20.

NAU at ISU---The Lumberjacks have been floundering since their big win against Sam Houston early in the season. On paper, they should get this game over the Bengals who finally got their first win last week. But it is at the Bengals' den where strange things happen...ISU 35, NAU 31.

WSU at MSU---One of the big games this weekend in conference. The Wildcats have had a strong offense to go with a stingy defense. The Bobcats also has had a strong offense with a tight defense. Winning formula for both so who gets the win here?...WSU 20, MSU 14.

UCD at UNC---The Aggies seem to be the team that people have forgotten about, yet they are still playing strong. They need this win against a game Bears team that will be willing to spring an upset at their field, if the Aggies try to look past them...UCD 28, UNC 21.

EWU at CP---The Eagles were expecting great things, but a lackluster defense has kept them from the top. They should get this game against the Mustangs and their former coach, but the coach needs a good win and it is at the Mustang's field...CP 38, EWU 35.

UM at SAC---The Grizzlies were storming along with no care in the world, and then after last week, their fine season may be in jeopardy. They go into the Hornet's nest needing a win, something the Hornets haven't been giving out this season...SAC 38, UM 28.

EWU 45-35 Cal Poly — Baldwin Bowl 2: Electric Boogaloo

Montalol 20-31 Sac State — The latter half of this season may test how out-of-control an eGriz wildfire can get

Portland St. 17-37 Idaho — Can the Vandals handle their return to relevance?

NAU 24-27 Idaho St. — How many losses will it take for NAU to buy out the last year of Chris Ball's contract?

Weber 21-20 Montana St. — Now all the good teams are entering their gauntlets.

Davis 35-20 NoCo — The Aggies were 1-4, but they should be 5-4 going into an eventual showdown in Moscow

Idaho over PSU is a surprisingly scrappy game but McCoy is the difference 28-27 Idaho
Sac keeps rolling, maybe the griz can expose a chink in their armor for everyone else, but too late for them 44-20 SAC
Baldwin out coaches Best to a 30-28 Upset for CP
Not even NAU can screw up losing to the bungles, but they can try their best! 38-35 Jacks
The Game of the week should be a sluggfest it's a tall order to come into a packed Bobcat stadium and walkout with a W, but i think Weber is really good. 33-28 Weebs
Davis is better than their record and the Bears are the Bad news bears. 38-17 UCD

PSU 17 at UI 35---Idaho earned a signature win last weekend and da Vikings took a hard one on the chin. This will not be much easier for PSU against much improved Vandals and @Moscow. Will the Vandals have the much hyped griz hangover?

NAU 20 at ISU 28---Pillow fight of the week. Bengals are @home and are eager to earn a 2nd W. NAU is reeling and their HC should be on the hotseat.

WSU 27 at MSU 24---Big Sky game of the week. Two top 5 teams in the country. My heart says Bobcats, my head says Wildcats. BBQ gave a beatdown to a FBS team and MSU took a beatdown from an FBS team. One was a good FBS squad and the other a bad one, but comparing the FBS game scores shows a 68 point difference. Oregon State would not likely beat Utah State by 68. (Transition logic at its best.) This game will likely come down to turnovers.

UCD 32 at UNC 21---UCD needs to win out to have a decent shot at playoffs and UNCU is likely out, even if they win out. UCD is lacking a signature win, but they can get that @Idaho and @Sac on the last two weekends, but for now they need to take it one week at a time.

EWU 28 at CP 17---EWU had a tough start to the season. Now they get some easier games, but this one is on the road and CP should be eager for a conference win.

UM 27 at SAC 32---Another good game in the sky this week. The Griz are bruised and exposed after last week. This is not a good game to right the ship after that loss. Sac is tough, @home and eager to beatup on the Griz. This should be one of the better defenses that Sac has faced this far into the season, so Sac will have its lowest offensive points of the season thus far.

PSU 20 @ Idaho 33 - Vandals are a pretty good team it seems. And it's at home.
NAU 27 @ ISU-o 34 - The 'Jacks seem to be regressing, while the Bengals are showing slight improvement as the season goes on.
WSU 27 @ MSU 28 - This one is hard to call obviously, but a more than 1 TD differential for either team wouldn't surprise me either. I could see one or the other coming out with their hair on fire and never looking back. Weather is looking cold and rainy, which bodes well for the team that runs the ball better, though Weber's run D is TOUGH.
Davis 35 @ NoCo 20 - The Aggies continue their run through the "easy" part of the schedule.
EWU 38 @ Poly 28 - The Eagles defense is porous, but they have the offense to take down the Mustangs.
UM 24 @ Sac 38 - The Hornets have been practically unbeatable in conference play under Troy Taylor. A reeling Griz team doesn't stop that.

Interestingly, Montana's Sports Bet had the Bobcats favored by 6.5 and Sacramento only by 3.5 yesterday. By this morning, it has already changed to Bobcats -2.5 and Sacramento State -6.5. Oddsmakers really do a poor job with the initial odds for a lot of FCS games, IMO.

Changed the usual Idalol back to Idaho and assigned it to Montana?!? That must have hurt a little.

It's like a werewolf infection or something. It should transfer to someone else once the Griz beat someone. xsmiley_wix

3-3 this week. 50-12 overall.
