Congrats NDSU. Anyone who didn't see this one coming from the beginning of the season is not much of a college football fan. My vote for #1 at this point in the season, if for nothing more than sentimental purposes since they aren't playoff eligible just yet.xbowx

Congrats. Everyone knew you should beat them, it's nice to get a real victory and not a moral one like last year

Did anyone find out the last time a I-AA had two I-A wins in one year?

Not sure who was the last 1AA team that beat two 1A's the same year but Delaware beat Navy & Temple back in 1985.

Way to go NDSU! Great win for the FCS!

How about the Bison get a special pass to be in the Playoffs this year. They have earned it.

its a damn shame that they cant be in it this year. If they couldnt win the whole thing this year I would be suprised. its just amazing how that coach has made the transition from Div II to FCS in dominating fashion. How long can NDSU expect to keep a coach like this around??? I give it one more year MAYBE and thats so a big MAYBE. FBS will be calling soon enough

Congrats Bison!

I think the Bison have a better Defense and Power Running game than UNI.

I think UNI has better QB, WRs and Receiving TE.

Panthers win in Cedar Falls and Bison win in Fargo IF they played this year.....

Good win for North Dakota State.

Let's be honest though, Central Michigan was a better win than Minnesota. Heck, even Iowa State is better than Minnesota...

Thanks to all from this Bison fan. It was awesome when the Bison players were trying to get the crowd going by waving their arms. Bison fans were louder the whole game. Bison mistakes, penalties kept the Gophers in the game. We'll take it though, we'll take it.

Thanks to MN_Bison and crew for the tailgate hospitality. D1B should have some pictures soon, with Wyobisonman and some other AGS members that made the game.

WOW!!! What an atmosphere in the dome today! Thanks for all the support from everyone on this board. With the way it went down last year I'm so glad we got it done this year!! And yes Tyler Roehl is a monster, all time best single game performance by an NDSU runningback!! They had no answer for this guy!!!
ON BISON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:) :) :) :) :) :)

Bison get the #2 play of the day on ESPN News! And it wasn't even the long touchdown run.

I am sure many feel the same as I do...I don't even consider this an upset...I fully expected NDSU to win this game (I even said as much on Mocfans earlier this week).

Congrats to the Bison...and yes, it is a damn shame (bordering on downright unfair) that NDSU won't have a shot at coming to Chattanooga this year...I would love to watch the Bison roam next to the Tennessee River!

It was an awesome atmosphere today at the Metrodome (never thought I'd say that about college football there)! Bison fans were very loud (and Minn fans seemed to vocally appreciate some of their Gopher's good plays too). It's great that NDSU's single-game individual rushing record was set today by Tyler Roehl against a Big Ten team.

I have been present for three FCS over FBS victories in the past two years NDSU over Ball State last year, App State over Mich earlier this year and my favorite, the NDSU victory over Minnesota today.

Class act by all of you offering congratulations to the NDSU team today. I can only hope that we do the same when things aren't going so well for us. This is a victory for all of FCS Land. Go Bison!

Thanks all for the kind words. I can tell you it was an electric atmosphere at the Metrodome in Minneapolis with at least as many Bison fans as Gopher Fans. It was Minnesota's first sellout of the year and a hell of a game.

I guess it's routine if you think the Sagarin ratings are accurate. NDSU's rating was 9 points higher than Minny's. Take away 3 points for being on the road and you have a 6 point victory for NDSU.:)

Congrats, somewhat expected, but great nonetheless to get the W.

Absolute tragedy for no playoff bid, this is a shame for the team and the division. Just wrong.

Wow, just watched a LONG recap of the game on The Big Ten Network HD and NDSU looks LOADED. Great size, and that Rowe kid is a beast! An FCS team rushing for nearly 400 yards against a Big Ten on the road? PRICELESS! That is flat out laying down the law!xthumbsupx

I bet NDSU's coach will be gone after this year! I hope not, he deserves a national championship for the job he has done. This is reality for amazing coaches that get it done at the lower levels. Their egos are just to big and when the big boys come a callin with the money and multi year contracts its thanks for the memorys. If he stays in NDSU I have much respect for his loyalty. In Montana we expect a coaching change every 3 to 4 years. I am shocked bobby hauck is still in montana after 5 years but he has not won the NC yet! Great job NDSU! that #40 is a bad ass!
