FCS Recap: Stating Their Case

A week ago, Appalachian State fell from the No. 1 spot in the Top 25, and eight different teams got No. 1 votes from around the country: Montana, Massachusetts, Northern Iowa, North Dakota State, McNeese State, Southern Illinois, Wofford… and, even though they lost, Appalachian State. Clearly, the nation cannot decide on a consensus No. 1 team. This uncertainty allowed all eight of these teams a chance to state their case as to who the real No. 1 team should be. And all of them made compelling cases in their own way.
