Coming off a loss, and having our first day game... I blame both of those factors for the decline in numbers. Next weekend is family weekend, and the game is at noon. those should cancel each other out and we should have about the same attendance.

14,260 saw McNeese beat South Dakota 31-7. It was McNeese's biggest crowd since Hurricane Rita in 2005 but below average compared to pre-Rita crowd. Football attendance is one thing that has yet to recover from the hurricane. Maybe FEMA can send some football fans to the game...

Should help in conference play when the visiting teams start bringing 500-1k more fans than PSU and South Dakota brought. It'll also help if McNeese keeps winning...

I think Stony Brook at HU drew about 5600 give or take. Very poor crown IMO with both schools being on Long Island. SBU did a great job bringing in fans, in fact they might have outnumbered the HU side.

What's going on at Hofstra? A few years ago, you guys were drawing 8,000-9,000 (I think)......now you've got a nationally ranked team, and still struggling to draw.

I wish Jeff, but we've always been in that 5700 range. I thought this game would have brought more out with the location of both schools, but nothing new. We did have one year where we drew 9 and change against UConn, people must have been lost and decided to stay. Haven't seen anything close in a long time.

Those poor folks were standing in line throughout the entire first quarter just to buy tickets. FU may want to think of opening up an extra ticket line or just have someone with a hat stand at the gate and collect $5.00 bills.

I would be interested in seeing legitimate ticket revenue figures for all of these games.

NCCU states there were 7021 at the game versus PC. I was at the game and I would say there were 2500 tops. Their stadium could not hold that many people.

It was 79 degrees. We tailgated (actively, throwing football with the kids, etc.) for 3 hours and then hit the game and I was not uncomfortable.

Considering the Summer we've had, I thought it was a perfect day for football. I will, however, concede that 71 or 72 degrees might have felt a little better and been ABSOLUTELY perfect.

Currently, NCCU's O'kelly-Riddick Stadium seats 10,000 (http://www.heraldsun.com/sports/stadiums/nccu/okellyriddick/index.cfm)

There are plans to expand to about 20,000 in the near future.

Hopefully next year, via our return football visit, we will see how many fans will show up in your 6,500 seat stadium, at PC.

Hopefully, you will have enough room on your visitor's side of your stadium, that will seat our 200+ member NCCU "Sound Machine" Marching Band and the many other NCCU fans who will plan to visit you guys, along with our Football Team, in Clinton, South Carolina, in 2008.
