What the hell is with letting Drake score first?

Our group at the Dome was befuddled when we heard the score.

During the drive the ball was snapped over the head of Jostes and defense broke coverage to go after it and he completed a 35 yard prayer. It was a fluke. That gave them a little bit of 'mo' with the Panthers crapping their pants. They scored within 3 plays. Also attribute it to a new defensive system and a little 1st game jitters.

Delaware is currently sold out of their 23000+ seats for the September 10 opener against Lehigh.

Let's hope we can average 15,000 a game for this season.

14,500 at the YSU Home Opener vs. Slippery Rock.

On the HS Football shows tonight they called on the fans of the valley to get the Ice Castle packed with bigger crowds than the last few years because many beleive this team is REAL GOOD.

I got 45 folks coming; yes 45; for next weeks game vs Northeastern. Probably will be around 60 come Saturday..

JMU had 14,673 for the Dukes' home opener against Division II Lock Haven in the 13,500-seat Bridgeforth Stadium. Unfortunately some students had to be turned away at the gate. JMU needs to look into stadium expansion for the 2006 season as long as the Dukes keep winning. It is difficult to have a stadium capacity of 13,500 when the student body is 17,000.

Sorry to be nit-picker, Balto Hen, but UD doesn't get 23,000 in there anymore. Capacity was reduced by about a 1,000 with the most recent stadium "improvements". The all-time record of 23,619 is still from 1973. The largest crowd in the last six years was last year's Towson game at 22,784. Hopefully, we'll pass these records if we actually get around to expanding capacity in the next decade or so.

23,432 for Montana. Largest opening ever and 7th largest in history. Against a D-II? Good luck to anyone wanting tickets the rest of this season.

JMU probably will not have a game under 100% of capacity in the 2005 season. It is time to expand Bridgeforth Stadium.

Sure did, the pilings on the home side have been driven into the ground and things seem to be progressing quite quickly. We will have a completely new stadium before the 2006 season!
