SWAC WORLD: Surprised By '06's Surprises? Stay Tuned
Nick Deriso, CSN columnist

Grambling, a perennial FCS leader in points and yards, gets into the red zone four times last week against Pittsburgh and came away with no points.

Last year's SWAC offensive player of the year Chris Wallace? Benched in the third quarter of Arkansas-Pine Bluff's most recent contest.

Last year's Cinderella story Jackson State? Oh-fer on the year.

It was unfortunate that we didn't come away with at least one touchdown from those possessions in the red zone. Don't know what type of plays were called but hopefully, we tried at least one running play. Coach Spady is a first time OC and this is his first year on the staff. I think we will be okay as long as we work to improve. The conditioning is better among the offensive linemen. I think we will better utilize Warren and Walker as runners to complement our passing game. As you know (Nick) we get a big boost in the passing game when Kerlegan comes back from injury. The great thing is that he can help the passing game either as a receiver or at quarterback
