2004 cover had:
Craig Ochs - lead Montana to the champ game
Travis Lulay - failed to beat Montana 3 in a row and Bobcats missed the playoffs
Boomer Grigsby - was CSN defensive player of the year
Bruce Eugene - suffered season ending injury in the first game
GRADE: EVEN 2-2

2005 cover had:
Ricky Santos and David Ball - made the playoffs and were stars
Erik Meyer and Eric Kimble - made the playoffs and were stars
GRADE: PASS 2-0

2006 cover had:
Kyle Shotwell - won the Buchanan Award
Lex Hilliard - season ending injury before the season
Arkee Whitlock - made the playoffs and was finalist for the Payton Award
Marques Murrell - won the title and was a star
GRADE: PASS 3-1

2007 cover has:
Kevin Richardson - ???
Ricky Santos - ???
BONUS: Theme is "Season of Firsts" and in the first weekend a big FIRST was achieved that was not anticipated involving App St!

So two passes and a fail in the last four years (BTW, the 2003 cover had Scott Pendarvis and Vick King of McNeese State plus four QBs) and this year looks promising at least on the App St part (UNH has yet to play).

So it looks like the CSN Mag cover is a good jumpstart for the coverboys?

Little harsh on Lulay's "fail" in 2004 I think, since he still had a pretty good year if I recall. But the "Season of Firsts" just already sums up the year, and it's only Week 2.

I think people should shower the fine folks who deliver this to the FCS world with lots of money, accolades, girls (for the single ones among them) and Pulitzers all around. xnodx xnodx xnodx
