SPARTANBURG, S.C. --- Following a 2-0 week for the Chattanooga Mocs men's basketball team, sophomore guard Malachi Smith has been named this week's Southern Conference Player of the Week after averaging 19.0 points per game and knocking down the game-winner at VCU on Saturday, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
