What does the Yale Bowl hold? I watched it for a while and it looked like the endzones were pretty empty while the sidelines were full.

16644 for our last home regular season game. Last game is always the average crusher, and this one was no different. School has been let out for Thanksgiving and it's colder. We had been averaging 22,700.

Actual attendance at Goodman for Rivalry #157 was 12,982; though I was informed that 14,500 tickets were sold. A good number stay in the parking lots tailgating, drinking and watching on TV.

Time for a couple of Yuengling jockey boxes to complement the best concessions in the Patriot League, at Goodman Stadium.

Hah. We had plenty of 'good stuff' at the tailgate, as did most. People already tanked up enough xsmiley_wix

Brown has apparently quit reporting attendance as well.

The visiting stands at Brown Stadium looked pretty full among the Dartmouth faithful. I have no idea how many were on the home side. Assuming it was halfway decent, I'm guessing 5,000 for the game.

At one time it was 80k. I know the press box and scoreboard removed some seats over the years, but are sections just tarped off to reduce capacity?

It has been a while since I've been there for a game.

The weirdest part about the Yale Bowl is that for a regular game with <10K in the stands, they charge extra for "premium seating" which is anywhere between the 30's. They rope this section off -- so if you don't feel like paying an extra $10 you have to sit outside the 30's.

IMO, they'd be better off just raising the baseline ticket price somewhere in between the two and allowing you to sit wherever you want. Obviously, more fans would choose to sit closer to midfield.

Original Yale Bowl had 70,869 seats. "80,000" were at Yale-Army in 1923, but I'm suspicious of any count with that many zeroes. Since they still have bench seats, maybe they recalculated capacity based on Americans' increasing butt size.

Is that a new attendance record for Montana? Sometimes I miss the old days where the student section at Dacotah Field was general admission and many times there were far more people up there than numbers marked on the bleachers.

Biggest H-Y crowd I was ever part of was 75,300 in 1981. We were squeezed in like sardines.
