Special Weather Statement


Alert:
A strong cold front will move across the area west to east through
early this afternoon. This will trigger showers and potentially
even some thunderstorms. Wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph will be
possible with any of these showers or storms along with small
hail. It`s even possible a few cells could become stronger than
this producing larger hail and locally damaging winds. If this
occurs, this will be handled via issuance of convective warnings.
The cold front will clear the area by mid afternoon but strong,
gusty winds will follow in its wake through the remainder of the
afternoon.

The Yale Football Blog is saying, according to Princeton twitter, 2:15 start AT THE EARLIEST

I was originally was planning on attending Houston/Temple football early this afternoon, but changed my plans to attend Mount St. Mary’s/St. Joseph’s basketball instead due to the weather forecast so I’d be inside for a game. (I still plan to attend Albany/La Salle basketball and Southern California/Temple basketball later today.)

Confirmed Lafayette delayed half hour due to lightning around kickoff time. They allot a half hour delay after a lightning strike within a 10 mile radius of stadium

Yale-Princeton kickoff to be approx. 2:30

Looking at the radar, I’d say among Lafayette, Lehigh, and Villanova (and I’ll throw FBS Temple, D2 East Stroudsburg, D2 West Chester, and D3 Muhlenberg in there), Villanova had the worst in-game conditions. Having said that, it was even worse at Princeton than at Villanova and there’s more on the way.

I kept waiting for the TD that would make it close. Princeton had their 35 points with 6 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter and never scored again so it's not like Yale didn't have chances.
