Yikes. Who’s in charge of sports marketing at Bucknell? It doesn’t even look the players parents showed up.

D-III Salisbury University drew 4,158 for its homecoming win over Kean. That’s almost as big as the Yale crowd.

SU had 2,591 at home for its loss to D-III power Wisconsin-Whitewater earlier this year. The Seagulls usually get about 1,500 for conference home games. Nice facility that seats about 5,000.

Yes, I was at Jack Coffey and it was not "packed" but I estimated about 7,000, as I think the stands hold 7,500. It was either homecoming or parents weekend. Weather was perfected Lehigh had a strong showing, which made me proud to see the alums still coming out to support the team in NYC. My guess is that Lehigh had a good 500-750 at the game including a downsized band no in uniform.

Bucknell hasn't drawn in decades. My daughter went there and sat with me on the Lehigh side when we played out there every other year. We almost always had more people in the stands at Christy Mathewson than the Bison.

I'm sure ESPN knows. They have to charge advertising rates based on viewers.

I actually think this is a little light. Princeton side lower bowel, four of the sections were 95% full... upper deck middle two were about 60% full... cannot say on the Harvard side since I was sitting above it, but it looked quite full. It sounded more than 10,000 people. I would have guessed 15,000.

That was the official count reported by both schools.

Tarleton announced over 16k for their game vs Midwestern State. They have a drive for 15k initiative, probably spurred on by CUSA talk and the Texas A&M system giving them a ton of money

19,297 for the game on Saturday in Bozeman.

Deer and elk hunting season starting likely had some to do with the 2nd smallest crowd of the year (only game with smaller attendance was against PFL San Diego, which was not expected to be competitive). Interestingly (suspicious) is that EVERY game this year has had an attendance ending in "7" - 19,797; 19,107; 20,127; 19,847 and now 19,297 xeyebrowx xchinscratchx. Average attendance of 19,635.

I'm not sure when the tradition started (or why) but our attendance for every home game has ended in 7 for years.

Yes, I thought opening weekend had our attendance lower this Saturday. The stands around me weren't packed and our official seating capacity is 17,XX7 (don't remember the two digits, but a couple hundred less than 18K). Every seat has not been full at the games. We must count tickets, not butts.

I was not aware of that tradition, and had never noticed, but haphazard selection of 2019 and 2017 confirms this.

I think most schools count tickets sold, not scanned. And apparently some fudging to get it to end in 7 regardless of methodology used. xlolx

To paraphrase Bob Costas' old boss while calling games for the ABA's Spirit of St. Louis, did it ever occur to you that maybe, just maybe, they all went to the bathroom?

To be fair, that was a shot from halftime. I'd say 2/3 of those in attendance in Bozeman tailgate during halftime. If I was a Bucknell fan (and Georgetown for that matter), I'd DEFINITELY be imbibing during halftime, so that ratio may jump to 90%, meaning of the 1,091, only 109 people would stay for the halftime "show". I think I count roughly 50 in the pic. Doubled for the other side and we're around 100. The math checks out!! xlolxxdrunkyx
