I'm pretty sure Vince Redd will be on that list by the end of the year.

No Cal Poly players on the list. We may have a school other than Cal Poly win the Buchanan for the first time in four years.

Kent Schmidt has Ryan Shotwell, LB, sophomore, Cal Poly on his list. I swear you never run out of Shotwell's at Cal Poly. They make great football players.

Look out for junior LB #32 Mark Restelli out of Cal Poly, junior DE/DT #99 John Faletoese, senior LB #27 Chris Buck and senior DE #11 James Amos out of UC Davis.

It's a crime that USD DE Eric Bakhtiari isn't on that list.

Faletoese was the best player left off IMO. You could argue Andrew Jones, the USD DE, and a few others.

I recall Bakhtiari having a pretty avg. game against UC Davis. 2 solo tackles, 3 assisted, 0 TFL, 0 sacks. It'll be interesting to see his numbers against No. Colorado and the Ags this season. He's a good athlete though, just needs more competition.

He's a really good player...good cover guy with nice hands. Excellent open field tackler. He's gotten better each season... Congrats!

Most games that I have witnessed or seen on tape, Bakhtiari has been dominant. Last year he destroyed the Yale LT McCarthy who was supposed to be one of the best Tackles in 1-AA.

Talking to the new d-line coach at USD (came from Kentucky) during camp, he said the staff was more surprised at his talent level than even J. Johnson's, and that he's as good or better than some SEC D-ends they played! Take it for what it's worth.

Good to know! You can see that talent, just needs some bigger games, ala Yale and UC Davis. Hope he doesn't get overlooked come draft time.
