Will there be any separation coming this week? Yes there will probably be.

Games this week:

Columbia at Dartmouth
Penn at Yale
Brown at Cornell
Harvard at Princeton - defense wins.

.

Given that Harvard, Dartmouth, and Princeton are undefeated, and that H & P are playing each other, I think there more certainly will be some separation. :)

Why is Harvard playing both Yale and Princeton on the road this year?

Historically each big three school had one home and one away game each year among the three.

bulldog, I think it goes back to 2018, when the Ivy League in its infinite wisdom rejiggered the schedule so the final week would include other “rivalry games” in addition to H-Y. Princeton now ends with Penn instead of Dartmouth, and Columbia ends with Cornell instead of Brown. Harvard used to play both NY Ivy schools at home or on the road during the season. Now they’re split. I hate the changes, but they’re not new.

I knew about the rivalry game changes. Just didn't realize it affected the big three games. Then again, my memory isn't what it used to be.

So Yale's schedule stays the same, one home and one away every year, while in odd years Princeton get Y and H at home and in even years Harvard gets P and Y at home.

I wish there were more Ivy members here, and I'm glad we have Son of Eli and Go Green, but as far as long term Ivy members of AGS who have stuck around, it's you and me

I vaguely remember that. I also remember a Cornell "fan" who was here for about a week and a half.

I also remember Yale Football Fan and Cleets, both of whom disappeared a while ago.

By the way, I didn't mean to leave out bonarae. She is a Harvard fan, but I think of her more as the heart of AGS as a whole.

Wasn't there a longtime Yale poster here who suddenly went on some sort of trolling spree until getting himself banned like 2/3 years ago?

I just looked at the Poli Board for the first time in years and found the guy. He doesn’t have the Harvard helmet, just a goofy-looking cat. Fewer than 2,400 posts since June 2020. Is it the second coming of Cleets? At least Cleets engaged in some football banter.

Harvard-Princeton well worth the price of admission. Saw Princeton in person and Harvard on TV. Both are strong teams (and I put Dartmouth in the top 3 grouping). I give the Tiggers the homefield edge, 34-31. Dartmouth, Yale and Cornell in the others.

Somebody needs to fix the PBP announcer’s microphone on the Penn/Yale broadcast.

Incidentally, this game is being televised by NESN, which is available nationally on Verizon FiOS.

Yale leads Penn 42-28 late in the 4th quarter. After the Quakers went on a long (yardage and time-wise) touchdown drive to cut their deficit to 14 points with a little less than 5 minutes left, they recovered the ensuing onsides kick. However, the Elis stuffed Penn on the ensuing possession, not even giving the visitors one 1st down, and Yale took over the ball on downs. They are currently running out the clock and the final score will be 42-28.

This white haired Harvard gent a few rows in front of me was providing much entertainment... he kept pacing back and forth, jubilation 2x when they thought they won, prayer-ful during Princeton attempts, disdain for the refs and Princeton... great atmosphere overall... I had to see a real game after attending the morgue that is Patriot League football.

Kennesaw State & Jacksonville State played a 5OT game in 2018, that’s the longest FCS vs. FCS game I could find.
