Brown looks awful

Leigh looks even worse

Yes, Harvard can be stopped. Cornell won't be the ones to do it.

My gut is Princeton was embarrassed that they let Columbia hang around so much and will take it out on Monmouth.

Columbia will win handily against CCSU.

Dartmouth usually finds ways to win against Yale, be it an unexpected blowout or a last-second go-ahead TD.

Massey has Brown winning this one, 27-24.

I would take Cornell and the points.

I would as well. That’s bulletin board material for the Big Red. Harvard has had some trouble with Cornell over the years. I think Harvard will win this game, but not by 4 scores.

Using the eyeball test, Princeton doesn’t appear to be the wild and talented Tiger they were a few years ago. The offense looked caged against Columbia. Will be very interesting too see what happens at Monmouth today.

These announcers are terrible homers. The replay clearly showed the yale receiver is in and they kept saying he was out.

As good a passer as Griffin can be, when they really need a 3rd down completion, it's not there.

A wasted drive. Can't have that in a game like this.

Half time stats between Yale and Dartmouth nearly identical with the exception of penalties.

Tough call against the Eli there

That was a tough targeting call. The Dartmouth WR took two big shots but I think they were both below the head/neck. It looked like he got the wind knocked out of him, not anything concussion related....

bulldog10jw
October 9th, 2021, 04:03 PM
I'll say the same thing I did in 2017. A bad call cost them, but they didn't step up and make a big play after. In 2017 it was a roughing the passer call on 4th and 10 that cost them. Today, it was not being able to answer in OT on either side of the ball.

A bad game to lose because after D scored their two TD's in the first half, Yale outplayed them.

Ivytalk

Harvard overcomes 3 turnovers and plays opportunistic D to hold off Cornell, 24-10. The Big Red actually led at the half.

Princeton edges Monmouth on late FG, 31-28.

I sometimes wonder when the Ivy will go to a seven game, all-league schedule. The lack of interest of (and in) its early opponents seem to be growing.

NESCAC style? If they'll do that, I'll move on to ETSU and as a national generalist. xbawlingx

The gut here is that some OOC games next weeks will draw some interest-- Dartmouth v. UNH and Yale v. UConn.

The gut here is that some OOC games next weeks will draw some interest-- Dartmouth v. UNH

I think this will be a very interesting game. I watched most of the Yale @ Dartmouth game and my main take away was that there is a lot of similarity between the UNH and Dartmouth teams. It should be a good game and I expect to be close. Both offenses try to use the whole width of the field, and while neither team is an offensive power house, both team have enough strength at the skill positions to put points on the board. Both teams use a balance of Rushing and Passing. But the strength of both teams appears to be defense. They both opt for quickness over size on the defensive line and the linebacker positions. Former Dartmouth head coach John Lyons is the UNH defensive coordinator. He has done a very good job with the UNH defense during his 10 year tenure, particularly over the past 5-6 seasons.
