BROOKINGS - South Dakota State University Coach John Stiegelmeier is a man of conviction, and he firmly believes that his team has improved each year since jumping to the NCAA Division I level.

The arc of improvement in terms of wins and losses: 6-5, 6-5 and 7-4.

That's a one-game bump across three seasons - and by the narrowest of margins. SDSU won four contests by seven points or less last fall and scored exactly as many points as it allowed (235) - that was enough to catapult the team into the Football Championship Subdivision postseason and preseason polls for the first time, increase season-ticket sales and boost recruiting.

Good luck to the Jacks this year! Sounds like your OL and DL will be strong. You'll be fun to watch this year.

Good write up.

Questions at QB and receiver will all be answered by the time NDSU rolls into Brookings for the Boarder Game.

I'm feeling ok with our QB. He has some starts under his belt already. As a matter of fact he tied a school record with 5 TD passes against Georgia Southern his RS Frosh season.

As far the WRs go we will be good as long as the starters don't get hurt. Not much depth from an exp. stand point at this position. I am really looking forward to the season opener against WIU. xthumbsupx
