2021 AGS Pick'em Challenge (Week 4)

On we go to Week 4 of the challenge. Finally I was able to pluck a full slate of straight up games this week. So there are no FBS games and no "will this team win by "x" amount of points" props.

In the desire to get a full slate of as close to toss-up games (29 FCS ones), this will definitely happen from time to time, especially with teams either still playing FBS games or on bye this week. When you involve 58 FCS teams, you're bound to get a few crappers. In hindsight, I probably would switch out a game like Robert Morris vs. Howard with Holy Cross/Monmouth, but I always try to pick as many games as possible where there isn't one obvious choice most people are going to take.

Exactly. Yeah some teams that are high right now might look down their noses at some of these, but they are all FCS teams. Makes you dig a little and you get some education. As a result, I've looked at every box score of every game played by FCS teams so far.

Just a note for MTfan4life, I kind of liked the spread picks when you don't have enough to fill it out. Should not be a problem any more, but they were fun to try and cipher.

Good to know! xthumbsupx There were definitely a couple games this week that could have gone with a "Will this team win by 10 or not" prop instead of being straight up.

The day was a journey for me. I correctly nailed 18 of the first 20 games, including getting Martin, NoCo, and EKU correct! I collapsed after that, though, missing 9 of the final 10 games. xsmhx The bonuses were well rewarded this week with plenty of people correctly picking Dayton to score a lot of points on the joke experiment taking place at Presbyterian so far. Then there were 3 surprising shutouts, but a few people correctly picked Lamar.
