BEARKATS OPEN 90TH FOOTBALL SEASON
Sam Houston State begins its 90th season of intercollegiate football Thursday against the Bacone Warriors. The Bearkats own a 47-38-4 record in their 89 previous season openers. SHSU has won six of its last seven season openers and stands 12-7 in opening games since moving up to the NCAA Division I-AA level in 1986.
