Are you ready for some football?
Although this is Week 0, and there are only two FCS vs. FCS matchups, I cannot wait any longer and thought it would be fun to see which matchup is the AGS GOTW. Current AGS rank (if applicable) and conference affiliation (in parentheses) are (and will be) denoted.
Eastern Illinois (OVC) @ Indiana State (MVFC) - Oh yeah, there WAS an MVFC team, the Sycamores, that has not played since 2019, and after this past spring, the Panthers probably also wish they hadn’t played since 2019. Let the games begin.
Alcorn State (SWAC) vs. North Carolina Central (MEAC) - After a year hiatus for both teams, the 2019 Celebration Bowl runner-up Braves look to start off on the right foot against the Eagles, who are trying to see where they sit against good competition.
