Entering his 3rd year at SFA, Nathan Young had joined head coach Colby Carthel’s staff as SFA’s offensive line coach in January of 2019 after serving as the offensive coordinator at James Madison High School in San Antonio for two seasons (2017-18). Coach Young returns to the Southland Conference after spending four seasons as fellow league member Abilene Christian’s offensive coordinator from 2013-16. Coached 1st Team ALL-SLC player Zach Igram and 2020 SLC Offensive Lineman of the Year, true freshman Justice Guillory.
