The University at Albany softball team survived a marathon game at Albany Field, winning in dramatic fashion in the bottom of the twelfth inning. The Great Danes got the job done on the back of pitcher Wendi Hammond, who tossed the entire game without allowing a single run. Chloe Lewis finished the game with a hit up the middle to score the runner from second, sending the Great Danes home with a win in the first game of a three-game series.
