Ken passed on earlier this morning. About an hour ago, his wife posted that he was finally pain free. He was a remarkably strong guy, with the way he faced it head on, with class, right up until the end. Through it all he and his wife never lost their faith nor let despair take hold.

He was making positive posts to friends and uplifting folks right up until he couldn't post anymore.

You don't take the measure of a man during his successes, you take it in the way he deals with tragedy. Ken and his wife, both, are absolutely amazing in how they approached not only life, but death. I'm reasonably sure I'd have been in the corner, in the fetal position, if I'd been facing what he was facing. But, he was a soldier, literally and figuratively. He lived to serve others and that was obvious with the way he conducted himself.

Godspeed Ken. Rest easy.

RIP Ken... didn't know him personally but he was a great contributor on AGS and from the sounds of it an even person off of it.

Rest in peace and best wishes to his family. Derby City Dukes was truly a fantastic member of the AGS community and always a pleasure here whether he was agreeing or expressing a different opinion. He will be sorely missed.

Very sad. He was a great contributor to this site and more importantly, an even better man offline. Condolences to his family and friends.

Well this is going to be about the saddest day I've had in quite a while. RIP good sir. You gave me good reason to come here and have fun every day and talking with you in pm's etc. over things to do with the Dukes and Griz were truly good times for me.

Condolences to his wife and family. I can not imagine how big the loss is for them and all of his friends.

Couple great lines to remember from his signature.

"Time is something that cannot be bought, it cannot be wagered with God, and it is not an endless supply. Time is simply how you live your life." -- Craig Sager

"Don't give up. Don't ever give up." -- Jim Valvano
