Bobcats, Longhorns square off in seven-on-seven session

Austin — They may never meet in an official football game, but for a few hours Wednesday afternoon Texas State and the University of Texas faced off on the gridiron.
Yes, it was Texas State quarterback Bradley George versus the Longhorns’ Colt McCoy and Morris Crosby versus Limas Sweed. Showdowns Bobcat football fanatics have likely fantasized about on their video game consoles.
But this was no ordinary football game, and it wasn’t played in front of thousands of screaming fans. Instead, members the two teams met in an unofficial capacity for a seven-on-seven football game at the Longhorns’ practice facility in Austin.
