COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- University of North Dakota junior forward Jasper Weatherby picked up his first career National Collegiate Hockey Conference Forward of the Week after his performance in No. 1/2 North Dakota's sweep of visiting Denver last week. The Ashland, Ore., native becomes the 12th Fighting Hawk weekly honoree this season and the fourth different UND player to win the forward award (Shane Pinto 2, Grant Mismash, Mark Senden). Fighting Hawk forwards have won the weekly award in five of the eight weeks in which they were eligible.
