I noticed that about 5 weeks ago, I asked others here because I thought I had missed something....

Obviously, the answer is that the NCAA still considers them D-II during their exploratory year.

They are still D2 for one more year but Yahoo! Sports has them labeled as a I-AA independent. It just seems odd, that's all.

It says that Houston Baptist is going to be provisional for 2007-2008.
That seems quick, quiet exploratory year last year I guess
