High School: Recorded 69 tackles, six sacks and 14 tackles for loss as a senior at St. Pius X in Atlanta ... also blocked three punts and a field goal on special teams ... three-year starter helped lead squad to 25-10 record from 2002-04 and spot in 2004 Georgia 4A state playoffs ... all-county selection ... coached by Paul Standard.

2006: As a redshirt freshman was in the team's DT playing rotation throughout the season and started at Appalachian State... had 14 tackles (5 solo, 1.5 for loss)... had a season-high five stops at Virginia Military (1 one solo, 1.5 for loss)... had three stops (1 solo) vs. Bloomsburg, two vs. Northeastern and Rhode Island, and one vs. New Hampshire and Towson.

High School: First-team all-district and all-Tidewater and second-team all-region as a Woodrow Wilson senior.

High School -- Gillespie was a terror in the opponents' offensive backfield, recording 19 sacks and 83 total tackles as a senior and nine more sacks as a junior under head coach Jon Mack at St. Bonaventure High School ... helped Seraphs to third straight 13-1 record, third consecutive Channel League title and a second CIF-Southern Section Division IV championship ... as a senior earned first-team All-Channel League, All-CIF-Southern Section Division IV, All-Los Angeles Times Southern California and All-Ventura County honors ... was named lineman of the year in Ventura County ...
