Not an easy walk

Getting up in the morning and driving across town for an early morning football practice is nothing new for Matthew Powledge. After all, he has been doing it for quite a few years.
But instead of donning the familiar green jersey and helmet of the HUntsville Hornets, Powledge is now roaming the practice field in Bearkat orange. The former all-district star for Huntsville High School is now lending his talents to Sam Houston State University. A first-team fullback for the Hornets, Powledge is now a walk-on at linebacker at SHSU.
