Darien Chase has announced that he will transfer from Nebraska to Portland State. As he is dropping down from FBS to FCS he will be eligible right away. He will have three years of eligibility at PSU.

He is from Camas, WA, just across the river from Portland so he is coming home. He did note that he has struggled at times with depression so he expressed a desire to play closer to home. Coming out of high school, he was a 3-star athlete and was rated the #2 wide receiver in the state of Washington.
