The September 8 game between the Jags and the Delta Devils has been moved to Chicago (http://www.2theadvocate.com/sports/7680287.html?index=18&c=y). Ralph, are you going to try to attend this game?

Come on Jag, we got it covered! Ralph's poor health will probably keep him away, but I'm sure he'd be there if all was well...get better soon, Ralph!

Why would Southern and Miss. Valley play in Chicago?

Valley plays one game a year there. It was their home game this year and they wanted to move it. We have a busy first 2 weeks in Birmingham and then Chicago.

Why would Southern and Miss. Valley play in Chicago?The Black migration north after slavery led Blacks from that part of the south north to Chicago,Detriot,Cleveland Indy etc.. Blacks from the Atlantic coastal states went to the northeast,Philly,NYC,Boston. There's probably a lot of folks with ties to both schools in Chicago and certainly people with roots in Miss and Louisiana. This could be a good draw if marketed right.xthumbsupx

Chicago is also a great place to recruit.

NDSU has Steve Walker, Joe Mays and Mike Dragosovich out of the Chicago area.

lol, we haven't played in Chicago since 1997, so it is good for us to go down there and show the Chi-Town student athletes how we do it now at SU, but it's also great to recruit students, and not just student athletes.
