How many are they going to draw? According to the article, "Southern and Valley previously played in Soldier Field, also in the Chicago Football Classic, to open the 1997 season. The Jaguars won 51-30 in a game that game drew 9,069."

The last two games in Chicago featuring Valley since...the attendance was "45,000 as Valley won 30-17 in 2005 and 42,300 as Valley won 10-0 last season."

So, seems like it will work well considering Valley only can hold 10k on campus...

Southern is in for a busy week to start the 2007 football season.

The Jaguars will now play Mississippi Valley State at Soldier Field in Chicago on Sept. 8 - a Saturday. That game will be played after beginning the season against Florida A&M in Birmingham, Ala., on Sept. 2 - a Sunday.

Valley Athletic Director Lonza Hardy confirmed the venue for the Chicago Football Classic on Thursday. The game was Valley's home game.

"It's going to be busy as far as preparation time," said Southern coach Pete Richardson, who said he found out just days ago the move was in the works. "Coming back, within that short period of time that week, now we're talking about different arrangements."
