How many games have you attended in a single season? Does anybody have a consecutive game streak stretching over a couple of seasons?
I've attended all 11 Southern games about 5 times (it's great when you travel with your parents xlolx )
From 1991 to 1998 I didn't miss any games. But since 2004 I've only been to 4 games.

I think a certain Bison poster wins out overall.

I think I made 10 in 2005 and 9 last year.

His name is Chris Buchanan and he is a McNeese Cowboy Fan. The 300th game celebration was reached back in November of 2002 and it was for 300 consecutive games. Since then he has added about another 50 games (including the last regular season game in 2002, the four playoff games in 2002, the 11 regular season games in 2003, the playoff game in 2003, the 11 games in 2004, the nine games in 2005 (only nine games due to Hurricane Rita and Katrina), the 11 regular season games in 2006 and the playoff game of 2006). I may be off by a game or two but I don't think so.

So, Chris has attended 350 consecutive McNeese games. This record is 350 consecutive games, home and away (anywhere and anytime the Cowboys play a football game). Chris is only 51 years old, but he started this game attendance streak back in the early 70's. Actually he probably had attended an additional 150 games prior to the beginning of this record, but they were not consecutive games. His parents were avid Cowboy fans and the whole family attended McNeese games! His mother probably has attended at least 300 games herself, though recently she cannot attend all games like she used to.

I would say it would be hard to find another college football fan who has as many consecutive Division I games attended! And he is young enough to add another 350 if he lives another 30 or so years!xeekx

256 total games for me, spread over a little more than 30 years. Never every game in one year, although I've come close in 1 or 2 years.

I've had season tickets since 1976. Missed maybe five home games in 30 years.xrotatehx

Last year I went to 12 games---missed Villanova, Northeastern and Montana (damm). Went to the five regular season home games plus Lafayette and UNH home playoff games. Went to Navy, Towson, UNH and the National Championship game. That's a personal record for one year.

Furtherest away game was Kansas State in 2003.

I attended every Yale game, home and away, from 1975-1989. This included a trip to Hawaii in 1987. I attended every home game from 1973-1989.

I met Chris when GSU played at McNeese in 2003. You'll never meet a better fan.

The whole GeauxCowboys.com crew is just a super bunch. I highly recommend a trip there to any true FCS fan.

Hey Rocket, does my memory serve right in saying that Chris's mom is the world famous "Cookie Lady?" She was my favorite of the whole crowd.

I made it to 6 ASU games, 1 away, 5 home, and the NC game. On top of that I went to 6 local high school games and 10 Panthers (NFL) games for a total of 22 last year.

Congratulations to Chris Buchanan for having a longer record than I do! Too bad NDSU has not scheduled a game with McNeese these past few years. Five more games for me to hit the number 300, which is the homecoming game vs UC-Davis in October.

Moving 700 miles away has made it difficult, but I plan on going to 3 games this year. It was always a family tradition to follow the Jags win or lose. xthumbsupx

I haven't missed a home game is in about 15 years, and even then I can't remember the reason, but I know it had to be important. I've had season tickets ever since 1980 and had only one miss since since then. Usually can't make all the away games, though I get to most.
I have attended 36/37 Lafayette games (missed in 1976 due to an early Monday morning court appearance in Detroit that I could not risk missing and the weather report was bad for the weekend). I expect my milestone 50th to occur in 2020.:D

Actually, Chris has Roadwarrior beaten by about 55, as I posted earlier that the 300 record that Chris had was way back in 2002 and he has since added another 50 games to that total. 350 is his current total by my calculations (I could be shorting him by 1 or 2 games).

You are correct Blueballs! Chris' mother is the legendary "Cookie Lady." She is lovingly known by thousands of past McNeese players for over 30 years of providing cookies for all traveling players to away games.

Chris and his mother are exceptionally nice people and great Cowboy Fans!

I've missed only 4 SCSU games that were played in SC since 1987. All were WIFE related. Prior to that i attended every home game since I was 5(1970). We always hit at least 2 road games a year. If all is well the only 2 games that I won't attend this year is at Air Force and at Hampton.I'll be in Columbia for USC but there's a raffle for 2,000 tickets for SCSU fans and that'll be tough to win. Hopefully the Columbia police don't taking scalping seriously.

Seriously though, that game was in 2002. He has made about 52 or 53 games since that one.

His streak is up around 353 + now.xthumbsupx

Only the McNeese SID had him beat for games attended. His streak goes back to the 1960's when he got the job. But he get's paid for it. CBuck is just a fan who pays his own way every game.

That picture was taken at the 2002 McNeese vs Texas State game in early november.

He has not missed a game since and had not missed one since the 70's prior to that.

I remember that the McNeese administration made an award on November 9, 2002 to Chris during halftime for the game against Texas State (known as Southwest Texas State at the time). Knowing that date and the # of games since contested, we have the following:

2002 - two more regular season games on November 16th and 23rd
2002 - Four playoff games (MSU vs W. Kentucky in National Championship)
2003 - 11 regular season games and one playoff game against N. Arizona
2004 - 11 regular season games
2005 - 9 reg. season games (because of Hurricanes Rita and Hurricane)
2006 - 11 regular season games and the playoff game on 11-25 against Montana (this game was the 350th consecutive game for Chris)

Chris will attend his 351st game on September 1, 2007 against Portland State in Cowboy Stadium in Lake Charles, LA
