Montana State by 7. I hate picking against NDSU, but I have been way more impressed with the Bobcats lately than I have of the Bison. I also don't think the dome is quite as big of an advantage when people aren't showing up and making as much noise as in the past.

Understandable, but I think the crowd will be back next week. My hope is after several lackluster performances, the crowd, the coaching staff and the team will be back to expected levels next week.

I'm not in the MVFC pick em this year ... but I think NDSU line play is going to have much easier time this week compared to last week. We're a much bigger team and have very strong line play and know them very well. Mont St doesn't have those advantages, though presumably plays with more speed ... but so does NDSU. So I'm thinking NDSU will control the line of scrimmage and chains ... will probably start slow again, but builds momentum and slowly wears them down .. pulling away to win by 17 or more.

I see I have to get in the ground floor of this thread next year, looks like a fun bunch with intelligent banter capabilities. Hats off to ISUr Defense, best Defense Bison played all season and they are mostly all young and returning next year. Watch out for them next year. My side bar prediction - is Bison by 2 TDs. Bison played not to loose last game due to ISUr limited offense capabilities. Will be different this time around.

Montana St is notaby smaller on defensive side of ball than ISUr, so I assume they play faster .. but so can NDSU. We played our most complete game defensively of the year last week .. Mont St is very solid defensively, but they won't be nearly as big and stifling as we were .. we're very hard to block and move chains on when we are executing well on defense.

So I think NDSU will have much easier time of it offensively this week. Might be another slow start like they have been recently, but we wore them down and threw everything at them .. Mont St won't be able physically overpower them or wear them down like we were able to .. after netting 206 yards in 1st half, they netted just 77 total yards in 2nd half.

we were worried when the NG Ridgeway (325 lbs) went down .. I think early 2nd half. We like the backup, but he is only 275 lbs, but much lower to ground and very good technically. Like i said, we threw a lot at you knowing we needed to mix things up and it was clearly our most complete game defensively of the year. We've had some great games earlier in eyar against a few teams getting 8 sacks three different games, but they obviously did not have an OL like NDSU. Just wish we had some offense because we probably could have finally beat you guys.

I don't see Mont St stopping your offense. JMU could be a different story this year ... but they haven't had to grind out very many games against tough defenses .. so they will have more to get used to on that front than you guys. I think there is pretty good parity at the skill positions throughout the FCS top tier teams. But the line play in upper half of MVFC is clearly the strongest in FCS .. and it usually makes a bigger difference as you get further into year with teams getting worn down.
