NEC Pick ‘em – Week 11
Only three conference games this week:
Wagner at Sacred Heart (-3.5) Noon
St. Francis at CCSU (-14) – Noon
Duquesne at Robert Morris (+6.5) 1:00 pm
CCSU, Duquesne and .... Robert Morris are all 4-0 in conference, and some combination of the three teams will play each other the last three weeks of the season. While I’m anticipating CCSU and Duquesne each being 6-0 when they play on 11/23, I’m not completing ruling out a three way tie where they all finish 6-1. I’m pulling for them this weekend, but I expect Duquesne to prevail.
CCSU is up to #15 in the AGS Top 25 – which may be the highest ranking I’ve seen on here for an NEC squad. I still think that may be a little high, but I understand why they are ranked there. They haven’t had a game decided by less than 10 points since a 5 point loss to Eastern Michigan in Week 4 (which is their only loss on the season.) While they should have little trouble against my Red Flash (who never seem to play well at CCSU), I still can’t completely get passed the fact that CCSU barely survived Fordham and Merrimack earlier in the season.
