Even including playoff and title games, I think yesterday's game was in the top 5.

In no particular order:

'16 Iowa
'17 JMU
'13 K State
'19 SDSU
'15 UNI (playoffs)

Honorable mentions, ISUr title game, SoftHSU title game (first one), both GSU semifinals.

Your thoughts?

GASo (‘13?) has to be top 5. IMO above yesterday due to playoff. And yes, I was there.

Not only that but also the ISU title game. No way that is lower than the SDSU game yesterday.

Your thoughts? We curb stomped GSU in the first semi final game, the 2012 game was epic.

Obviously I’m not an NDSU fan but I’d include 2014 playoffs vs SDSU. That was arguably the biggest heartbreaking loss to NDSU as it seemed we’d taken all momentum late and had it in the bag, but of course that’s not how it ended.

'13 KSU
'16 Iowa
'14 ISUr
'12 GSU
'14 SDSU playoff

The wins over the Gophers were great because I despise those clown and the 2007 win against SHSU was great but it really didn't mean that much in the grand scheme of things at the time.

'11 SHSU Natty is probably 6th for me, I never really felt like we were going to lose that game, the ones I listed were comebacks and that always feels different.

Yes that was an epic game, probably deserving top 5. For me it’s hard to put the Playoff conference games too high because they are drudgery, grinder games. The UNI/SDSU playoff games are tough mentally (for me) to enjoy.

That first GSU semi was an all-timer though too. Maybe it was all the bluster and bravado from the fan bases (that game week thread would be in the AGS HOF if there was one - it's where #ButtBama was born) but the curb stomping the Bison gave the triple option powerhouse was simply glorious.

I also didn't include the Natty against JMU because I thought we played like dog**** and it was a tough game to watch.

Dont forget the first and second SHSU games. Their fans were sure that their Southern Speed like we have never seen would be our demise. LOL They were going to hang a bazzilion points on us, we had never faced a team like them---- etc etc etc.

Ha! Better question might be what are the top 5 playoff game week threads for NDSU in the D1 era.

Both GSUs, first two SHSUs, maybe JMU in the '17 natty? JSU in the '15 natty has gotta get some consideration too. That would make for some tough calls.

You definitely weren't at the FCS Kickoff in '15, then. That was insane even by Wa-Griz standards.

Honestly I think the culmination of NDSU's FBS resume went a long way toward building the dynasty. As we've seen coach after coach after coach successfully drive the car, I'm starting to think that the "culture" and "pedigree" are probably the biggest factors. And honestly, that's worst case scenario for the rest of the FCS.

I mean, as a fan you always want it to be true that your teams culture is why they are winning. But, its honestly seeming to be a proven concept with NDSU and its really not with any other program. It's starting to look like its gonna take an absolute buffoon to crash the car and end NDSU's dominance in any meaningful way from a meta standpoint.

2006 UC Davis, Bison down 24-0 at the half, win 28-24. That was an amazing game. Walker to Majeske with .04 left.
