Honestly don't know how this one will go. Kennesaw State has been running through nobody defenses. Though Jacksonville State is for the most part unknown, I think they are probably better on defense than any team they have faced except maybe Samford.

For Kennesaw, yes I think it's definitely worthy of discussion. I'd personally give the nod to EWU, but depending on how much the committee values Monmouth and Jax State a 2 wouldn't be shocking to me.

For Ol' Jax State, who knows?

If it were me, with a blowout win over KSU I'd say a 7 might be our ceiling. But considering the national polls (which the committee apparently pays attention to now) have us 6 already I think a solid win lands JSU a 5 seed.

There's a pretty solid chance we aren't going to be wondering what seed JSU will be anyway.

Personally, as long as we get out of this game healthy, I think a first round game could do JSU a lot of good. Bye weeks haven't been our friend, we're still going to host anyway, and we might luck up and get a win against a weaker opponent so we can get over our postseason hump and get some momentum going.

Not to derail this thread because it's slightly relevant, but Samford's defense did a lot better defending Kennesaw State and Wofford than the Citadel, and the latter two are probably better than the Citadel. So Samford's inconsistency runs deep and wide.

Went and dug up last year's stats for the lulz.

I think it pretty clearly illustrates how huge third downs are going to be tomorrow for both teams. Our passing attack is much improved so we will have to see how well it translates.

Yes, I know our running numbers were cheeks as well. We were an absolute non-factor to pass in that game (and really all of last season) so KSU played our wideouts in man and sold out on Roc and it worked for them. I think if Zerrick can get going it can get our offense into a rhythm that was completely non-existent last year.

The Battery is awesome. The stadium is spacious and very well laid out. Sightlines we're good by baseball standards and attention to detail for the game was great. Visual and sound effects in the stadium was on point.

It definitely felt like a premier venue.

Big South referres can suck it! This was handed to KSU at 24-31 when JSU was up. After the fumble was in review, the big screen operator refused to show the replay. It happened right in front of me, and it was clearly a fumble. Saw the replay at the house, afterwards.

Oh well, it was a helluva a game. Probably the best FCS game played all year.
