Why does the FCS still even bother with a coaches poll, these coaches don't care about looking into anything obviously lol

UNPOPULAR Opinion: The Coaches Poll got the top-8 seeds right, they're just out of order.

They've actually done pretty well in the past at getting the seeded teams into the top 8 by their Selection Sunday poll but, yes, the order hasn't been nearly as good as some other polls *cough*AGS!*cough*.

You know we play Kennesaw this weekend, right?

I just noticed something though. At least they aren't voting for SHSH anymore.

Yeah, I've thought Towson >> Elon for a while and thought after this past weekend, most others would see it that way too.

Agreed. Plus Elons starting QB and RB are both out for the season IIRC.

Those things factor into my rankings but not the coaches poll.

The combined record of Jacksonville State's 8 wins? 25-52. Their best win? Eastern Kentucky, the team who was a failed two point conversion away from losing to Robert Morris in overtime. One could reasonably say they don't have one win over any of the top 60 teams in the FCS. Aka, they're definitely going to have to beat Kennesaw State to merit a chance at a seed.
