This game really comes down to Ferguson. If he is healthy, I expect a Maine win in the 24-14 range. If he is out, it will be tough for Maine to move the ball. Elon probably gets the win in that scenario. Heal up #14!

Dewey, question for you. Obviously all titles on your banner after 2011 are FCS. Were all the other ones Division 2 or did NDSU dabble in other divisions (NAIA, etc)? Not sure of the history. Really hoping Maine advances far enough to play in Fargo. My wife went to NDSU so that would be a special and fun day we've talked about for years.

Ive been to 3-4 UNI games there. They do OK. But if Maine plays there, I will be in attendance....but not sure we'd have 199 others. I'd have to choose whether to sit in the Maine section or get tickets in a place where you can actually see the game.

The last time they were heard was in the 2016 semi-finals. To this day, NDSU shrinks the section weekly to drown out the memories....

I will go out on a limb and say Maine wins this hands down. Rhode Island's coaches ran an excellent gameplan in their loss. With 3 critical starters out, Rhode Island ran the perfect gameplan. Towson did the same thing and with better talent at key positions just really figured out how to contain the offense that we have left which in turn wore the defense out causing that massive explosion for Towson in the 4th quarter. Regardless, Towson ran the game they wanted (and congrats to them for that).

Maine will model the same gameplan. They made not have the explosion Towson did, but they will contain Elon's QB and offense and will (if they are smart) run the same offensive strategy exploiting our weakness.

Maine wins by 17.

1. Whenever I go home or when someone from Maine comes to visit, there is a 6-pack of Moxie on the trip
2. There is a giant yellow candy store in Jordan, MN that sells Moxie.
