Sam’s season is going to end today. Yes we have 2 games left but KC Keeler’s squad is a team full of quitters. I would love to think the future is brighter, but SHSU just rolls over and dies in bad situations. When the going gets tough, they give up. We need a reality check this offseason. We can do better than Carty. The D is improved but still not great. Keeler is a winner and Sam can only downgrade, so he shouldn’t be on the hot seat. But this is a talented group that can’t get it done.

I feel bad for the real competitors on this team like Roberson, Contreras, Davis, ect. They care. It’s all the young guys that lack experience that seem to bring us down. I’m sure they’ll be fine in the future but right now they look lost. I will definitely be there next weekend to wish the seniors farewell but it would’ve been more fun if the game had some national importance. Oh well, always tailgating.

A couple of the traditional powerhouses are rebuilding and also having to play against several teams that are tons better and deeper. UIW is the 2nd best improved team in FCS this year. We are much improved from last year. NSU and Lamar are actually both playing better this year. There has been a lot of changes lately in the SLC and it is definitely disrupting the norm. What that means at this point for the playoffs we have no idea. If people want to turn around and comeback with the typical SLC sucks answer that is up to you guys.
