I thought the NFL changed the rule so that you can't advance a fumble for a touchdown after the Raiders-Chargers game.

Either I'm wrong about that, or the NCAA didn't follow suit.

The NCAA is cool with it, except that on PATs and 4th downs, the person who fumbled is the only one who can advance the ball. In this instance, it was not 4th down.

Madden would love this.

Madden would love this. Thanks for the rule clarification. Richmond scored the same way against Albany. Their QB fumbled on the one-yard line, a TE lying down in the end zone reached across, grabbed the ball, and pulled it over the goal line for a touchdown. I would've thought since he was down the play would've been over when he took possession, but at this point in the season for Albany what does it matter?

A fumble is a fumble.

Nice job Hatters!

Poor Drake...I’ll never forget the warm welcome to the PFL that they provided to Mercer in their very 1st PFL game on 9/28/13 - “gifted” the Bears with 7 turnovers - 3 Fumbles & 4 INT’s, including this fun one, which was SportsCenter’s Top Play that day

Extra painful for Drake, considering one of their receivers had just sprinted 50 yards to put Drake in the lead, with :45 left in the game.

Prevent defense, by both teams, in the final minute made this a circus.

We got zapped by the 4th down rule this past week. 4th and 1 or 2 and he didn't quite make it and fumbled to boot, but we recovered for 1st down, but different person recovered. No 1st down. Dang.

Pretty dumb rule.

looked like an illegal forward pass to me since he tossed it forward as he was being wrapped up.
would be a knock on in rugby.
