Saturday, October 13th

St. Francis (2-3) at Wagner (1-5) – 12:00 noon (SFU – 11.5)
Central Connecticut (3-3) at Bryant (4-1) – 1:00 pm (CCSU – 4)
Sacred Heart (3-2) at Dartmouth (4-0) – 6:00 pm (SHU +22)
Robert Morris (1-4) at Duquesne (3-3) – 7:00 pm (RMU +14.5)

All seven NEC teams are in action this Saturday highlighted by the CCSU at Bryant game. I was surprised to see that CCSU is a 4 point road favorite, especially after Bryant’s win last week at Duquesne. Speaking of which, the Dukes obviously had a very difficult week and it’s hard to know what impact the death of one of their teammates had on the team’s performance. (Kudos to Steeler HC Mike Tomlin for wearing Duquesne football gear to his weekly press conference as a way to show his support.) RMU is showing some signs of life on offense scoring 81 points in their last two games, but their defense, which had been a lone bright spot the past few years, has completely abandoned them this year. SHU takes on its third straight Ivy League opponent in Dartmouth, who has won all four of their games this season by 20 or more points. (I’m looking forward to their 11/3 match-up against Princeton.) Finally, The Red Flash travel to their own personal house of horrors when they visit Wagner. Wagner is 12-1 at home against SFU, with their lone loss coming in 2007.

Third straight, actually.

With one exception, all of SHU-Dartmouth games have gone down to the wire. I'm not expecting this game to be close, but I've been surprised in the past.

Thanks for catching that. I have corrected the above post.
