Division II title game moving to McKinney, TX, a mere 20 minutes from Frisco, at its new 12,000 seat stadium.

Too bad the game is the 15th of December and not the same weekend as the FCS title game. It would have been fun to see both games.

McKinney has just passed over Allen's $60M stadium as the best in the area.

Allen's stadium seats 18,000. The story said the Div2 people were wanting a stadium in the 10-12,000 range...Hence McKinney. Of course the could have went to the Frisco stadium which is indoors and also seats 12,000

Perhaps my dream of an NCAA Championship Weekend for football (FCS, D2 and D3) is at least possible?

If you like postseason college football games, the Dallas/Fort Worth area is the place to be this season:

12/15/18 (Sat): Division II national championship game (McKinney, TX - about 30 miles NNE of Dallas)
12/19/18 (Wed): Frisco Bowl (Frisco, TX - about 30 miles north of Dallas)
12/22/18 (Sat): Armed Forces Bowl (Fort Worth, TX)
12/26/18 (Wed): First Responder Bowl (Dallas, TX)
12/29/18 (Sat): Cotton Bowl, Division I-A/FBS national semifinal game (Arlington, TX - about 20-25 miles west of Dallas and 15 miles east of Fort Worth)
01/05/19 (Sat): Division I-AA/FCS national championship game (Frisco, TX - about 30 miles north of Dallas)

On top of the above, the Big 12 championship game will also be played in Arlington, TX, on Saturday 12/1/18.

12k seats? That honestly looks bigger than the tiny stadium they currently make us play at in Frisco.

Friend of mine was down in Texas for vacation. They went to Allen to watch a game and said the place is unreal. Felt like a college atmosphere there.

This is a great idea, except for the fact that the price of hotels would spike even more.

You don't want to spend $500/night on hotels within a one hour radius? What's wrong with you cheapskate?!
