Logically it seems to be the game they'd be most likely to lose amongst the remainder of the schedule but they seem to usually pick a game you wouldn't expect to drop the token L. Even last year SDSU had shown some chinks in their armor in the games leading up to the game they beat NDSU. I have a eerie feeling about that WIU game the week after this one. They'll be coming off two rivalry games and Macomb is an oddly tough place to play with the docile atmosphere and weird travel to get out there. The Bison always seem to sleepwalk there (even though I don't think they've ever actually lost in Macomb).

Those are good points. We also seem to struggle after UNI games from the physical play, hopefully no injuries from this one.

The Bison at UNI makes me nervous for good reason. This is how NDSU has fared in the UNI dome since joining the Valley 10 years ago.

2008. L 13-23
2010. L 9-16
2012. W 33-21
2014. L 3-23
2016. W 24-20

2-3 overall but the Bison have won 2 of the last 3. In Fargo NDSU holds a 4-1 advantage. I expect another very physical, hard fought game.

I would guess that both defenses play quite well today, with NDSU having the upper hand on that side. I’ll go with a score similar to the playoff game, where I’d be real surprised if UNI sniffs 13 points. 20-7 is my call. After all it is at the UNIdome and Neal will prove to be a thorn against the Bison O Line keeping the score in check

Dunne is going to be happy this will be his last meeting with NDSU sans a potential playoff matchup. Hope for no injuries for both teams!

We trailed by 3 after the 3rd quarter. The defense gave up 465 yards. This was a closer game then the final score indicates. Our last two scores came with short field after UNI turned it over on downs.....But, that was a great performance by the Rams and the run game. 344 yards rushing!

Honestly, I don't think it was NDSU's intention to punch in another TD. Back-up QB, fifth-string RB (Cofield), hole you could drive a truck through...the perfect storm. I have not watched the replay, but I could have sworn the RB even hesitated a bit, as if he did not quite know what to do (go down or continue running through hole). I think practice kicked in at that point, and he finished by going into the endzone. I could be wrong, but again, I don't think there was any message to be sent. My $0.02.

Yeah, it wasn't to rub anything in. It was a 2nd down and there was still ~90 seconds left when they snapped the ball so had they kneeled on it on 2nd and 3rd down they couldn't have run the clock out. I'd guarantee that had he gotten tackled anywhere short of the goal line but past the 1st down marker they would've kneeled on it after that. You can't blame the kid for making the play when the seas parted for him.

I turned off the game because my kids needed me and we were down 18. I didn't see or hear anything about it. Just seems like they are usually quick to take a knee.
