I thought this deserved a thread since there's a lot of the "the IL doesn't play anyone". These guys can play....

Eli up 28-7 to start the 4th quarter.

Not completely true. Dartmouth played and beat UNH (ranked) and Towson in the same year recently. Cornell played at Delaware a couple of weeks ago. Penn has history with Villanova. It's more than most think but with 3 OOC games and history with the PL there's not the volume some would like. Princeton needs to step up their game.

To freshen everyone's memory ... in the last 15 seasons here are Ivy League non-conference wins outside of the Patriot/Pioneer:

- Princeton has just 1 win, and it happened last week vs. Monmouth.
- Harvard has 2 wins, and both wins came vs. URI (2015 & 2016). Harvard has lost 2 straight to the Rams (2017 & 2018).
- Penn has 3 wins vs. Duquesne (2005), Villanova (2015), and CCSU (2016).
- Yale has 4 wins vs. Cal Poly (2013), Army (2014), and Maine (2015 & 2018).
- Cornell has 4 wins; Albany (2006); Wagner (2011), Monmouth (2013), and Sacred Heart (2018)
- Dartmouth has 7 wins vs. Sacred Heart (2010, 2015, & 2017), CCSU (2014 & 2015), New Hampshire (2016), and Towson (2016).

I'm sure that Maine missed their 1st string QB. The backup QB was erratic to say the least and they killed themselves with penalties.

I also thought that they gave up on their running game too early. Nice win for Yale, though. Rawlings and the receivers were great.

Rawlings looked like Aaron Rodgers today. When his college career is finished the stats will show he’s the best Yale QB ever. Then I expect him to make the NFL. Heard it here first.

Nice win by the Bulldogs, who continue their tradition of playing and beating good programs outside the Ivy League.

Yep.

Exactly! And by comparison, here are Colgate's non-conf wins outside of the Ivy/Pioneer:

UMass (2005)
Albany (2007 & 2011)
Towson (2007)
Coastal Carolina (2008)
Monmouth (2009, 2010, & 2011)
Stony Brook (2009)
Sacred Heart (2012)
UNH and JMU (2015 Playoffs)
Cal Poly (2017)
New Hampshire (2018)

Sorry, but I've heard enough about the Ivy League ... especially Harvard and Princeton ... and it doesn't stack up .

Impressive, but with the exception of Coastal Carolina, UMass and JMU the Ivy League has beaten every team on this list since 2000

My original comment was based on who they've played, not who've beaten. But yes outside of Yale and Dartmouth the wins haven't been there at rapid rate. Either way, they're faring against the CAA better than most the last 3-4 years.

xthumbsupx As usual, they made me nervous when the 4th quarter started.
