Wiki has FCS poll information back to 1978. Example: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1998_NCAA_Division_I-AA_football_rankings

It looks like there wasn't a poll released after the playoffs were over like there is today from 1978 to 1997. Is that right?

To be honest, not sure why we need one with a playoff. To rank all the losers? I guess. Eh, it's good publicity, plus it gives us something to argue about. Pretty cool data though.

How about 1992! Too bad we got kicked bad in the second round by YSU.

That's the year we beat both Arkansas and Army. Only regular season loss was to Marshall.
