Ouch! I am supposed to start this thread on Thursday morning EDT but due to a relocated game (Coastal Carolina vs. Campbell now to be played at Campbell on Wednesday (http://www.fcs.football/cfb/story.asp?i=20180910190032840208904&ref=hea&tm=&src=FCS)) and personal commitments on Wednesday, I am starting this thread now.

Wednesday game stated above starts at 2 PM EDT. There are two more games before Saturday: Tennessee Tech at Utah State on Thursday and Brown at Cal Poly on Friday.

I doubt it, but my ISUr had a h&h scheduled with Ball State for 2013 (their place) and 2014 (our place). Interestingly, 2013 was down year for ISUr but a really good year for Ball St .. we had halftime lead but got crushed 2nd half. Well 2014 was going to be our year and a down year for Ball St .. plus we had them coming to Hancock. They saw writing on wall apparently and bought us out ... so we had to schedule a 2nd OOC patsy.

Western is playing well. As already stated, they have defensive problems, but this game as gone about as you'd expect.

At this rate, they will once again compete for a playoff spot, but they won't break into the field of 24 if their defense doesn't improve.

Not looking good for Weber St this year, who stuggled to beat Cal Poly by just 7, a week after Cal Poly lost by 46 to NDSU. Amazing rise last year, going 9-2, winning 2 playoff games before bowing out to JMU by just 3 points in quarterfinals. Still early, but not an impressive start for Weber St so far. They host South Dakota tomorrow ... important game for 2 good teams from a year ago .. could have playoff implications later.
