No they aren’t...they finished 6-5 last season...they played SHSU pretty tough(lost 45-31 or 45-38). Lost to Texas A&M, and Grambling (SWAC Champ), Southern(SWAC West runner up) and Alcorn St.(SWAC East Champ).

PV also had a new head coach...their former head coach, Willie Simmons, is now leading FAMU. PV hired Grambling’s OC from last year, Eric Dooley.

I thought the fcs football demigods knew those superlatives hence why I never mentioned any of them. (??????) Your premise is spot on except we played a then #3 ranked txa&m a year earlier. We lost to fcs playoff participant nicholls st last fall and we 1-2 vs the southland conference w/ our all fcs schedule last fall.

PV hasn’t announced its OOC slate fall 2019. For those who doubt, have your folks call our folks as we head into a second recruiting year w/ our #Dooley-era. I’m not so sure rice univ will call us anytime soon after we punched them in the mouth last night in their home and our fans outnumbered their fans :D .

Yeah, they played really well in the second half. Some of our playcalling and who we had on the field was kinda questionable. Radio guys said that McShane and Ratkovich weren't in there...idk why you don't have them out there unless there was something wrong with them.

Oh well...gotta learn what we can from this and do better next time. Couple of turnovers and some dumb mistakes killed us. We need to clean those up if we want to do well this season. They keep playing like this and we're going to be living up to most of the preseason expectations.

We had been on the field for about 90 plays to that point, it was hot as hell, and had two starters ejected for targeting, including one of our best DBs and best pass rusher. The game plan going in was to play a soft box, give them the inside run, play zone and make them dink-and-dunk down the field ... then tighten up in red zone. It worked for the most part, but we were out of gas at the end. ULM is really good on offense.
