Just curious, what is the official date that the A-10 officially becomes known as the CAA? Or are we already the CAA?

I think it began as soon as the playoffs ended. It's the CAA now for sure.

FWIW, the actual date of transition was January 1, 2007.

I've been CAA since the Hens lost to Nova the last week of the season. :p

Not that it matters, but don't conference affiliations run June 30 to June 30? I thought I read somewhere that CAA officially began July 1, 2007. Which would support how the hiring of CAA football staffing is going. Either way, I'm just glad to get out from Linda Bruno. It'll be good to be back under good leadership (and none better IMO than Chuck Boone).

Hey, in all fairness, I'm not sure she knew the A10 had football. :p

Yes, June-June effective/expiration dates for Olympic or all sport contracts. Football deals run Jan-Jan, as I understand it.

The transitioning of some operations is probably still going on between the A-10 and CAA, at least it was as of early Feb. However, the conference and conference members are now marketing themselves under the CAA brand. The CAA's FB media director has been on the job for a month now.

Agree with you about Bruno and Boone, BTW. Great to once again have a leader who values FCS FB.

I also agree with you guys about Linda Bruno. Not only did she do nothing for A-10 football but look at what she's done for A-10 basketball...nothing!

As I am typing this I'm listening to the A-10 tourney in Atlantic City, notice I said LISTENING because there is no TV contract for the tourney. BTW, I have a friend in Atlantic City right now, he told me there is zero marketing on the boardwalk or in any of the casinos for the tourney.

I'm glad we're getting away from her for football.
