On Monday, May 7, the 2017 Southern Conference Champion Wofford College football team received their rings from Coach Mike Ayers. They were 10-3 on the season, reaching double digit wins for the sixth time in school history and reaching 10 or more wins in back-to-back seasons for the first time in school history. They posted a 7-1 mark in Southern Conference play as they won the league title for the fifth time in school history. After a win over Furman in the NCAA FCS Playoffs, the season came to an end against eventual national champion North Dakota State.
