-----------------
Murray State has released its 2007 football schedule. The Racers will open the season at the University Louisville and play a five-game home schedule that includes Eastern Illinois, Eastern Kentucky and Austin Peay. Murray State will face four teams that finished ranked among the top 25 at their level and seven teams that posted winning records in 2006. MSU’s 2007 opponents combined for a 71-57 record a year ago.

The season begins on Aug. 30 when MSU takes on the Cardinals at Papa John’s Stadium on a Thursday night. That game will begin at 6:30 p.m. CT, and will be televised live on ESPNU. A slate of eight Ohio Valley Conference games begins on Sept. 20 when Murray State travels to face Tennessee Tech in Cookeville, Tenn

“This is certainly going to be a challenging schedule for our young team,” said Murray State Head Coach Matt Griffin. “But, we recruited a lot of guys that love a challenge and will enjoy the opportunity to face one of the best teams in the nation in Louisville, and several of the top teams at the FCS level.”

Small private college in Jackson, Tennessee. Here lately they seem to be among the OVC's choice punching bags.
